Aaaah!They're switching babies! No, this is Karo and Hil...with Anika andAshlyn. They were born nine days apart...Ashlyn on the fifth, and Anikaon the 13th...which happens to be my birthday! I think she's the bestgift God ever gave me...




Just look at the HUGE thing of Animal Crackers my mom (she's taking the role of Gramma VERY seriously)got for Anika!!!! She dived in as soon as we got the lid off. It was socute to watch her with a cookie in each hand, munching away happily.She loves them...

I'm still faithfully keeping my promise that I can't update without atleast one pic of Anika...so here she is. I thought she was extra cute in this one. She has this thing with soft material and strings. She'll wrap her hand around it then suck her thumb. It's so adorable!

There is Tegus as we were flying in. It was really cloudy...but I got atleast one! If you look really closely, you can see the big white Catholic church of Suyapa. It's a big tourist attraction.

Anika was sooo good with flying. She had hardly slept at all for the whole night, but she was so sweet about it even though you could tell she was miserable. This is when we were flying in to Tegus. My ecstatic mood must have rubbed off on her cuz she couldn't stop grinning!


JD thought taking black and white pics was soooo cool, so I kinda got into it too. They all crowded into my room and 'helped' me unpack.

My little Yossi. She is the cutest mixture of sassy and sweet that ever walked the earth. I think this pic of her is perfect. You can just SEE both sides coming through.

now. Like I said, I'm glad to be home. I don't know if you have noticed
this or not, but the Honduran culture is so much different than the
States. They are lots more friendly. If you meet someone for the first
time, you greet them with a hug...and it's not bad or anything, it's
just considered proper. If you meet someone you KNOW already, then it
can get pretty funny. =) I walked around Tegus and just grinned at
random people and they always grinned back at me even harder than I
had. If I'd do something like that in the States people would think I
was going crazy.  I
love the culture down here! It's like I never noticed it before because
I lived here all my life, but now that I'm back from being up there for
soooo long, I'm noticing stuff I never thought of before. I'm like a
tourist in my own country. I kinda like it.

Just wanna thank all of you that prayed for my Gramma. She had five stints put in last night...she was awake during the whole procedure and I think it was all pretty stressful...but they said she can come home today...so I am very happy! Thanks again for praying!!!!!          --me

  I'm updating again...I have a request...my Gramma is in the Hospital rightnow. They are going to do surgery because she needs three stints. I know God is in control...and I just think it'd be awsome if you guys could pray for her and my Grampa (he worries a lot), if you think about it. Thanks!

Jose Luis is holding Jerry there...Jerry got his knee out of place while doing some work at the Hospital. I guess he will never play soccer again...that's really sad for him. He loves soccer so much!

  Willy and Oscar just went home today....I miss them already. The house is gonna be deathly and silent without them in it...waaah! Bye guys...have a safe trip. I didn't even tell them goodbye, and I was beating myself up for it and when I came home I was all sad, then I saw something on my bed. They had left me these cute little notes. I almost cried. Don't I have the sweetest brothers? Can't wait to see everyone again in November! Wow...it isn't that far away, is it?

Jeni...wow, it was so good to see you again. It's been YEARS...and catching up was soooo good!

This is Jeni. We grew up together in Honduras, when her family moved up we lost contact, then Friday night we got together and talked for hours. So much fun!

  Why can't we all just get along?

I've always kinda hated that trite little question...it was like they were trying to be profound and failing miserably. It's like, "Because we're all a bunch of idiots, that's why!" So I was thinking about it the other day, and I was wondering why CHRISTIANS can't get along? It hurts me so bad to see all the church splits...the strife...the anger....bitterness...the petty fights. We have a calling. We have a PURPOSE on earth, and most of us know (atleast in part) what we're supposed to be doing...atleast as a follower of Jesus. We're commanded to be perfect as he was perfect...to love "so that the world may know you", to be a light. And we aren't--we don't do a single thing we're supposed to do--forgive my pessimism. I'll fix it--SOME of us don't do what God wants of us. We get caught up in such petty little issues (don't even ask for examples...whatever you're thinking will fit in there perfectly) that have no merit spiritually...barely even physically...and we fight it out until we decide the other person isn't worth it anyway, and we part ways...forever enemies. I suppose if both parties actually reach Heaven, they might be friends there, who knows. Ok...that was a little sarcastic...sorry.

I think Satan just loves all this. He sees the fighting and laughs. He's WINNING, why shouldn't he? He's getting our focus off of the important things and as long as we're devided (I mean, the more insignificant the cause, the better), we can't stand...and we're no earthly good at all. I hate fighting...always have. Peace is such a wonderful thing...but sometimes fighting is necessary, I guess. I just don't think it's necessary among Christians. What is the most important thing as a Christian? I guess there are so many things we need to be...and do. But if Jesus is inside us...and we're living for him...doesn't the rest take care of itself? I know...you can take that a little far, too. And I know "exorting" has it's place, but I see people out there...suffering...lost. And they look at the church and say, "Dude, I've got enough problems without getting into one of their fights yet on top of everything!" It just makes me wanna cry. I guess we should just hope that they look to Jesus instead of at us...or hope that we can change. So yeah: why can't Christians get along? I guess I still haven't figured it all out. I was talking to one of my friends the other day, and he said it's because we're carnal. I guess we are! I know I am so very carnal in so many ways...I have so many areas that need to change. I guess we just need to pray that God can change us...and may he begin with me!

Ok! Enough of that morose subject! I'll make up for my ramblings with a few pics...

 An ancient one of Quido and I...waaah, I miss her! She is the bestest friend a girl could ever ask for. Her loyalty knows no bounds, and she's SO understanding...like I said, I miss her.

I'm sure you guys are almost tired of seeing Anika...but I can't resist. I'm a deliriously proud and happy aunt, and can't be held accountable for my actions...so I must keep posting pictures of her! I thought this one of her and Kara was cute.

Ahhh, mother-love...what can compare to it? (I just love how Anika's face lights up whenver she sees her mommy.)

Went to VA this past weekend (or was it the weekend before?), and this is Brandon and Ryan in a very intense game of racing cars...they didn't even mind me snapping pictures all the time, which goes to show how into it they were!

Becky, Stacie, Krista, and Tonya! We had so much fun! Stayed up till like, 2:00 both nights...just having a blast. (Jolene is missing).

  My Papa is a very wonderful man. One of his good qualities is his ever-abounding love for heights. He somehow finds out about the coolest stuff. This bridge happens to be one of them. It's somewhere hidden in the mountains of West Virginia, and Ryan actually found it on the way home. It's so awsome! It's actually UNDER  bridge (you can clearly hear the traffic overhead), and if you go out to the middle, you see the most breath-taking view. It's so beautiful.

This is the walkway...when you look straight down through the grate you get really dizzy (I did, anyway!).

 This is the view...doesn't half-way capture it...can you imagine what it'd look like in the fall?!

That's straight down...not very interesting...but if you look at it in real life, it makes you feel like you're gonna fall, seriously!
